Mission Statement
At Projects of Promise, we believe that by empowering the poor, and by encouraging and advocating for development activities that strengthen their capacity and sense of self-determination, that sustainable relief and eradication of poverty is possible. Partners of Projects of Promise extend assistance to people in need and do not discriminate on religious, political, social, cultural, age or gender grounds.
OUR VALUES
- We value people, regardless of age, gender or religious affiliation. We do not discriminate against any person but treat all equally.
- Basic human needs are defined as primary health care, basic education, family planning, nutrition, water and sanitation, and shelter.
- We are a voice for the poor, the disadvantaged and the oppressed. We recognise that we live in a world where the gap between rich and poor, advantaged and disadvantaged, liberated and oppressed continues to widen. Our role is to speak for those who have no voice.
- We are stewards to those in need. We achieve our goals through effective partnerships both within Australia and overseas. We are stewards of the responsibility we have to a world in need.
- We are passionate, responsive and committed to express the love of God and this moves us to respond to the needs of those in poverty and distress.
